SESSION #1 Overview
Focus: Advanced Body Position & Pressure Control
Details: Our aim is the foster a heightened awareness of riders' actinos, understanding the what, why, when and how much of their skills and maneuvers.
This session is designed to build up your foundation and understanding of key concepts for the whole program!
How to get there:
- Drive to Lynn Canyon Parking Lot in the Lower Seymour Convservation Reserve.
- If renting a bike, ride from our shop (30min)
SESSION #2 Overview
Focus: Cornering Techniques: Angulation & Rotation
Details: The primary objective of this session is to refine our ability to be stable and feel balanced through a variety of corners.
How to get there:
Drive & park on Braemar Rd between Princess Ave and Regent Ave. Please Note there is limited parking near the Start/End location.
Take #232 bus to 15th and Lonsdale Ave, transfer to the #230 bus to Princess Ave @ 3800 Block. Pedal to starting location via the gravel powerline trail.
SESSION #3 Overview
Focus: Drops
Details: The primary objective of this session is to refine our ability to precisely control the bike's direction while in the air.
How to get there:
- Drive & park on Coleman St or Mt. Highway. Please Note Mt. Fromme gate closure times & limited parking in the parking lot.
- Take #210 bus to McNair Drive then pedal up Mountain Highway to start
SESSION #4 Overview
Focus: Advanced Roll Downs & Steep Skills
Details: This session aims to familiarize the group with navigating steep terrains and the impact of body position on traction. We will delve into the significance of terrain awareness in selecting an optimal approach positino for steep roll-downs. Additionally, we will refine the utilization of the fore-aft range of movement to confidently tackle high-speed rolls and other features.
How to get there:
- Drive up Mt Seymour Rd to Mushroom Parking Lot. Altenatively, arrive at Old Buck Parking lot and pedal up Old Buck to Mushroom Parking Lot (45min~)
