COGkids programming is designed to get kids with autism out riding their bikes.

COGkids introduces mountain biking in a calm and encouraging environment that supports the development of bike skills and self-confidence and provides an opportunity to connect with peers and nature. Riders will have the opportunity to learn and practice skills with professional instruction and apply these new skills / techniques on a variety of awesome trails at a pace that’s comfortable to them.

We will be front-loading the families with lots of information before the program begins.  If you wish to provide additional information about your child before camp we would be more than happy to jump on a call to discuss how we can make this experience a positive one for everyone.

The aim of this program is to connect with nature and empower the kids by:

  • Building Trust = Fun!

  • Connection with Nature

  • Social Connection

  • Empowerment

Programming Ratio & Who This Is For

Our COGkids programs have a ratio of 2 participants to 1 instructor.

It is important your child be able to follow the group plan with minimal support. If your child has sensory sensitivities or needs that may need to be addressed, please let us know so we can ensure a positive experience. We recognize that predictability is also important so all sessions will include a review of the schedule and expectations prior to starting the ride. We welcome verbal, minimally verbal and non-speaking kids.

Before booking take a moment to assess your kids riding ability & fitness level so that you can include this information when booking. This course is for those with a minimum rider profile rating of:

  • Youth Skill Level 2

  • Youth Fitness Level 2
