EB eNews update for mid-July, 2008

This is just a short eNews to notify EB members of two community events coming up on Sunday July 13th and Saturday July 19th in North Vancouver. This Sunday, EB is hosting a Mini-Trail Day in conjuction with Loeka clothing on the North Shore. Where? When? Read below! Saturday July 19th is a Richard Juryn Memorial Trail Day. Details below!

Will's Way Mini-Trail Day

Endless Biking. Loeka clothing give back to the trails!

Endless Biking and Loeka clothing are teaming up to put some love into the Shore. Will's Way is a trail that has been ridden by many EB clients and members. The trail has been around for years but is a bit dated and in need od some repairs.

EB has developed a vision for the trail almost 2 years ago and has since been working hard on getting the pieces in place to move forward with our vision, as it's been approved by the LSCR and the NSMBA. We'd like to respect the work and effort that has been put into this short and sweet classic but it is also time to bring the trail up to date with some more modern signage, ride-arounds and some new features to learn to ride on.

The idea of the vision is to keep the trail as a two-way trail that offers options that are well signed and suitable for riders looking to gain confidence riding the Shore, without having to ride some of the 'full length' trails that can be a bit daunting for new riders.

Richard Juryn Memorial Trail Day

Saturday July 19th, Inter River Park

Come on down to Inter River Park in North Vancouver for a Trail Day, BBQ and Festival in honour of the late Richard Juryn. The event gets under way at 10am and will go until 3pm on Saturday July 19th.

Bring the whole family to come out and help build Richard Juryn's special trail! The NSMBA and others have raised funds for this day to happen in memory of our great friend and fellow NSMBA director. The District of North Vancouver, the City of North Vancouver, and Metro Vancouver, working in conjunction with the NSMBA, are now able to offer a day to complete Richard's trail. They've planned a huge festival at Inter River Park, with food and entertainment, and a chance for local bike businesses and related trail and safety awareness groups to show off their services. A special sign dedication honoring Richard will take place at the end of the day.
